Peningkatan Kecepatan Berjalan Pasca Olahraga Hydrotherapy Pada Anak Cerebral Palsy Tipe Spastic Diplegia

Cerebral palsy (CP) disebabkan oleh cedera pada otak yang sedang mengalami perkembangan dan ditandai dengan ciri fungsi motorik kasar yang abnormal. Olahraga teratur telah dilaporkan efektif dalam meningkatkan kinerja fungsional pada anak dengan CP, namun baru sedikit yang melaporan tentang efek olahraga hydrotherapy terhadap peningkatan kecepatan berjalan pada CP tipe spastic diplegia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan efek olahraga hydrotherapy terhadap peningkatan kecepatan berjalan pada CP tipe spastic diplegia. Penelitian ini adalah semu eksperimen dengan menggunakan rancangan Single Subyek Research (SSR). Penelitian ini menggunakan subjek tunggal dengan kriteria anak berkebutuhan khusus CP tipe spastic diplegia, jenis kelamin laki-laki, usia 16 tahun. Olahraga hydrotherapy dilakukan dengan frekuensi 3x/minggu selama 4 minggu. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kecepatan berjalan antara sebelum dan setelah intervensi menggunakan 10 meter walk test. Analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah deskriptif visual grafik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat pengaruh olahraga hydrotherapy terhadap peningkatan kecepatan berjalan. Dibuktikan dengan peningkatan persentase overlap fase baseline (30 %) ke fase intrvensi (90%). Berdasarkan perhitungan tersebut dinyatakan bahwa intervensi memiliki pengaruh terhadap peningkatan target behavior.
