PENGARUH WEIGHT TRAINING DAN ENDURANCE TRAINING TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KADAR BRAIN-DERIVED NEUROTROPHIC FACTOR PADA INDIVIDU OBESITAS

Abstract

Obesitas merupakan suatu kondisi akumulasi lemak tidak normal yang berlebihan di jaringan adiposa, menyebabkan efek buruk bagi kesehatan, obesitas adalah penyakit multifactorial yang kompleks. Untuk mengatasi obesitas, dilakukan latihan fisik , dimana latihan fisik juga bisa menaikan fungsi kognitif dan dapat dianalisis secara fisiologis ataupun molekuler melalui biomarker Brain-derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF). Latihan fisik yang dilakukan adalah endurance training dan weight training. Latihan itu merupakan tujuan dari penelitan. Penelitian dilakukan di tiga tempat yang berbeda dengan metode true experimental menggunakan rancangan penelitian the randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Tujuannya agar mendapatkan hasil yang relevan antara pretest dan posttest pada subjek wanita obesitas sebanyak 18 dengan 3 kelompok kontrol, intervesi dilakukan dengan frekuensi 3x1 minggu selama 4 minggu. Setelah postes dikumpulkan data dan di analisis menggunakan SPSS versi 21.0. Uji Paired Sample T-Test menunjukkan hasil peningkatan signifikan rerata kadar BDNF selama pretest dengan posttest dengan nilai signifikan kelompok endurance training (p<0.001) dan kelompok weight training (p<0.05). hasil ini menunjukan bahwa ada peningkatan antara kedua latihan tersebut untuk kadar BDNF pada obesitas.
