Abstract

Swallow's nest is the result of the swallow's saliva which currently has high economic value, therefore it is cultivated. The purpose of this study was to analyze the income of the swallow's nest cultivation business in Teluk Batang District, Kayong Utara Regency. The formulation of the problem raised is whether the business of cultivating swallow"™s nests in Teluk Batang District, North Kayong Regency is profitable. The analytical method used in this study is the analysis of costs, revenues and profits. The number of samples taken was 35 breeders of swallow's nest cultivation. The results of the study show that the swallow's nest cultivation business is said to be profitable in view of the revenue being greater than the cost. Of the two scales of swallow's nest cultivation business, business scale II is more profitable than business scale I, with a total monthly profit of IDR 112,247,306 and an average of IDR 16,040,942.
