Peer Review Process
There are two or more expert reviewers for each manuscript on the related topic in the reviewing process. In addition, the author(s) can also propose the candidate of reviewers. Judgment from the first reviewer will be the main priority for the Editor to make a decision if there are only two reviewers. A reviewer may take four to eight weeks to complete one round of the reviewing process.
Generally, the reviewers will be chosen based on their reputation in the publication number and quality. Next step: The Editor sends the invitation letter to each reviewer candidate. After the candidate of the reviewer informs their availabilities for the reviewing process, the Editor creates an account for each reviewer and then sends the manuscript by OJS.
All reviewing processes are in double-blind peer review and managed by an editor in the OJS. The submitted manuscripts must address scientific merit or novelty appropriate to the focus and scope. All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism contents. All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection software for similarity checking. Editors check the plagiarism detection of articles in this journal using Ithenticate software, with the maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Publication Ethic
Publication Ethics of Pedontropika: Journal of Soil Science and Land Resources
This statement of scientific code of ethics is a statement of the code of ethics for all parties involved in the publication process of this scientific journal, namely managers, editors, reviewers, and authors. The Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications essentially upholds three ethical values in publications, namely (1) Neutrality, which is free from conflicting interests in managing publications; (2) Justice, namely giving authorship rights to those entitled as authors; and (3) Honesty, i.e. free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism in publications. The ethics of the publication refer to The Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Publisher's Responsibility
1. Publisher of Pedontropika: Journal of Soil Science and Land Resources (Department of Soil Science /Departemen Ilmu Tanah, Faculty of Agriculture Tanjungpura University) is responsible for publishing manuscripts which, after going through the process of editing, reviewing, and layout is in accordance with the rules of publishing a Scientific Journal.
2. Publisher of Pedontropika: Journal of Soil Science and Land Resources is responsible for guaranteeing academic freedom for the editors and reviewers in carrying out their respective duties.
3. Publisher of Pedontropika: Journal of Soil Science and Land Resources is responsible for maintaining the privacy and protecting intellectual property and copyright, and editorial freedom.
Editor's Responsibility
1. Editor of Pedontropika: Journal of Soil Science and Land Resources is responsible for deciding which manuscripts are suitable for publication through editorial board meetings that refer to applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism.
2. In the process of reviewing and accepting the manuscript, the editorial team of Pedontropika: Journal of Soil Science and Land Resources is based on the principle of equality of treatment in making decisions to publish manuscripts by not distinguishing race, gender, religion, ethnicity, citizenship, or political ideology of the author.
3. Editor and editorial team of Pedontropika: Journal of Soil Science and Land Resources will not disclose any information about the manuscripts or manuscripts entered except with the author's permission.
4. Unpublished manuscripts will not be used by research editors of the Pedontropika: Journal of Soil Science and Land Resources for their own purposes and will be returned directly to their authors.
Reviewer's Responsibility
The reviewer of Pedontropika: Journal of Soil Science and Land Resources assists editors in making editorial decisions on incoming scripts
1. The reviewer of the Pedontropika: Journal of Soil Science and Land Resources is responsible for the recommendations of the manuscript reviewer reviews.
2. The review of the manuscript is carried out objectively, and supported by clear arguments.
3. The reviewer of the Pedontropika: Journal of Soil Science and Land Resources is responsible for citations, references, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification and plagiarism of the manuscript reviewer reviews.
4. The reviewer of the Pedontropika: Journal of Soil Science and Land Resources must always maintain the confidentiality of the information and not use information from the manuscript he studies for personal gain/interest.
Author's Responsibility
1. The author must present the text of the results of his thoughts or research clearly, honestly, and without duplication, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism.
2. The author is responsible for the confirmation submitted on the manuscript that has been written.
3. Authors must show references from the opinions and works of others cited.
4. The author must write the script ethically, honestly and responsibly, in accordance with applicable scientific writing regulations.
The author does not mind if the manuscript has edited the review and layout process without changing the substance or main ideas of the writing.

Screening Plagiarism
Authors should submit only original work that is not plagiarized and has not been published or being considered elsewhere. Ithenticate or other software will be used by the editorial team to check for similarities of submitted manuscripts with existing literature.
